It's Over

I have been planning on doing this for a while, but had always planned to wait until the 2010-2011 athletic year ended. As you all know, this is the last year of what all of us have known as the "Old Lonesome Pine District" and my alma mater is officially closed. Thus, it is time to retire the name PVFAN from the LPD Forum forever. In the decade plus of my time on this forum we have all argued, fought, laughed, and provided information to each other that has continued our love of one our favorite hobbies. Over the years, members have come and gone, but the premise of this board and its membership has remained the same; loudly in our love of our school and its athletic teams. I hope this forum survives and moves to some new site/server. It's greatest asset to me has been during high school football and basketball season to get scores quicker than anywhere else on the net, radio, paper, etc. It's also been very helpful in establishing the point totals in football (OleTob used to update me weekly on ICQ, my goodness how long ago was that?) and now in basketball. In the end, I just hope we can all accept the consolidation and continue our love of our hobby. I'll be around with some new username to continue aggravating each and every one of you. The ride is over and it's been a fun one.
